Welcome to our classroom!
Welcome to our classroom. We are a little school that is located forty fives North West of the World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals. Our classroom is evenly divided with ten girls and ten boys. Each student in our classroom has his or her own strengths and weakness, that is what makes this group of students so unique. We strive to do the best at everything. We know that if we don't give our best effort in everything, than it is not worth doing.
We are fortunate to have met some other classrooms through an electronic pen pal program on the internet called ePals. Our ePals are from as close as Tennessee and from across the ocean Greece, Germany, and South Korea. The students not only are talking to students from other cultures, but they are working on sentence structure, on how to write letters, what are good questions, and how to use technology to communicate. ePals is also allowing us to do projects with our new friends. We have started a story with our friends in Tennessee where they are going to start a story and illustrate what they have drawn and send it to us. Our class will read over what was sent, brainstorm as to what write next, illustrate it, and send it back to them. Together, two classes will write a short story hundreds of miles apart.
